Valentine's Day Chocolate Chip Cookies

Had to get this recipe up quickly, because after testing it twice with some fellow soon-to-be Dietitians, I knew it just had to go out into the world! I know, I know, "how could I dare give you a recipe 2 days before Valentines, when you have all already bought your gifts? (I hope!)" Okay, well here is why... you can always use more chocolate and sprinkles!!

One may argue, isn't this just a chocolate chip cookies with Valentines sprinkles? Yes, you are very observant! But-- it's not just any chocolate chip cookie. It's the softest, gooey-est, most delicious chocolate chip cookie you've ever had!

Give into your sweet tooth, just this once... it is Valentine's Day after all!

8 tbs. Butter, unsalted, melted
1/2 cup White Sugar
1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed
1 egg
2 tbs. Milk (of your choice)
1/2 tbs. Cinnamon, ground
1 tsp. Nutmeg, ground
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
3/4 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup Valentine's sprinkles!

Yields ~ 12 cookies

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 deg. F. Melt butter, and bring it to room temperature. Combine with sugar(s) and cream together with a whisk. Add in egg, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Once the "wet" stuff are combined, add in baking soda and flour. You may have to stop using your whisk now and combine with your *washed* hands, or a baking spatula. Add in chocolate chips and sprinkles! Spoon ~ 1 1/2 tbs. onto a greased baking sheet and bake for ~9 minutes! Happy Valentine's Day ~ Enjoy!
