Feeling pretty good today, I was really sore from my workout yesterday. Also, a little upset at todays workout-didn't feel like much of a workout. I'd say yesterday was on the level of "high intensity" and today...NO intensity? So sad..
Tomorrow is a new day and i'm excited to actually FEEL my workout tomorrow. I remember reading in "It Starts With Food" not to exert yourself too too much in the first week, since you're body is repairing itself from the damage your old eating habits caused. Well good, i'll count today as a semi- rest day!
No major withdraws today so that's nice, not sure if my body has just been acclimated this whole time, or if they haven't really kicked in yet. I'm looking forward to cooking some KALE tomorrow. They're on sale right now at wholefoods so I stocked up, you should too!
Meal 1: 1 1/2 c. Raw napa cabbage 1 1/2 c. Spinach sautéed in clarified butter. With two whole pan fried eggs (in same butter) on top! With 1/2 an avocado and a large glass of cold water! :)
Snack (post gym): 3 celery sticks (short ones) as I waited for lunch!
Meal 2: Zucchini sticks (from Whole foods) with about 3-4 mushrooms, all sauteed in coconut oil, with some cherry tomatoes on the side! I didn't have time to make any mayo today or yesterday, nor did I have time to defrost any fish so I had to make my protein another egg! Paired with a glass of water!
Snack: About 5-6 Celery sticks with Avocado Wasabi (Recipe to come soon) and about 4 macadamia nuts! I felt like I was SOOO hungry, as I was patiently waiting for dinner!
Meal 3: A baked garlic-y mahi mahi filet (wild caught) with balsamic brussel sprouts pan fried in extra virgin olive oil. Next, I experimented a little with some rainbow chard I found at wholefoods! It was very yummy, I just pan-fried in the same extra virgin olive oil as above! I know theirs no direct "fat" in this meal, but I counted my "avocado wasabi".
