Post Work-Out Almond Protein Milkshake

Happy New Year everyone!  How's everyone's New Year's resolutions going? Personally, i've been thinking about starting the Whole30, anyone opinions out there? Who's done this program so far? I've read reviews upon reviews out there and it seems like a great program!! I'll have to do some more research before I get started.

For the first recipe of the year, how about a little post workout shake. I'm trying to train for a half-marathon soon (New Year's Resolution #1), so i'm trying to go on runs every morning. It's a lot easier said than done... :/ This concoction was great to whip up after my run this morning.

But if I get to drink this after every run... it might motivate me to run some more! I've been trying out some shake recipes, which are really easy to down right after a long work out. It helps that I can just grab the cup and go! As a college student I am always on the go: Gym, shower, school... fast fast fast. 
I don't have time to sit and cook a high protein snack (well most of the time). So shakes are usually the easiest way to go!

Recipe:
1/2 c. raw almond butter, creamy
1 tbs. vanilla whey protein powder
1 tbs. golden flax-seed, whole
1 tbs. stevia powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon 
1 c. unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract 
3 c. ice cubes

Yields ~ 2 servings

 Directions: So easy... ready? Put everything in a high-power blender. Press BLEND. BAM! Done. Pour into a glass and ~ENJOY!

  2. After reading a lot about these supplements I was completely convinced and started taking them. These noticeably increased my overall stamina, recovery, and energy level.

    Btw stay away from Whey protein, it's garbage and very damaging to your system.

    The body is not meant to ingest such a massive, unnatural amount of a substance that's been artificially extracted from a whole food found in nature.
