For the first recipe of the year, how about a little post workout shake. I'm trying to train for a half-marathon soon (New Year's Resolution #1), so i'm trying to go on runs every morning. It's a lot easier said than done... :/ This concoction was great to whip up after my run this morning.
I don't have time to sit and cook a high protein snack (well most of the time). So shakes are usually the easiest way to go!
1/2 c. raw almond butter, creamy
1 tbs. vanilla whey protein powder
1 tbs. golden flax-seed, whole
1 tbs. stevia powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 c. unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. ice cubes
Yields ~ 2 servings
Directions: So easy... ready? Put everything in a high-power blender. Press BLEND. BAM! Done. Pour into a glass and ~ENJOY!
